Welcome!

As I sit under a beautiful oak tree, watching my kids swim, I am filled with excitement (and trepidation!) to be writing my first blog entry. I’m thinking about how I reached this juncture in my life…

My journey took a slight turn 3 years ago when I was diagnosed with a melanoma mass. After my surgery, an oncologist believed that clean eating would be an integral part of my recovery. I had always been conscious of what I ate, but it was at that point that I made the commitment to clean living. My deep belief in the connection between mind and body made this transition a smooth one for me.

So with this blog, I would like to share my thoughts on conscious living, which includes living a life that makes you healthy and strong — not only physically, but mentally as well. I’ve found that it all goes together.

I will be posting thoughts that I have found to be helpful, words that have inspired me, and recipes that have nourished me.

Check in often, and please post comments. I’m really look forward to sharing everything I know, and I would love your feedback on all of it!

Wishing you health and happiness,

Stephanie

How excited I was to read you first blog on your very own web site. I am so grateful that I took my first computer class many years ago. I had no intention of taking the class, I was just keeping a friend company when I found out that I had registered for the class. Lucky me.

Does this mean that I can log on everyday and hear something wonderful from my daughter.

You have alway been a dream come true. How lucky I was to have a wonderful daughter, friend, and loving inspiring person like you in my life. I think of you daily and wonder how I ever gave you wings to fly. I sometimes wish I had been more selfish.

Good luck to you my darling!

Love you from here and to the moon.

When I wake up in the morning, one of two thoughts pulls me out of bed, either your wonderful class or walking my dog with a good friend. I am grateful for your energy and passion. You give 100% of yourself to us all which motivates me to give back the same. I so look forward to your thoughtful words of wisdom and to your delicious healthy recipes ( you know I am the biggest fan of your breakfast cookies).

Love the web site! Grateful to Stephanie’s mom for giving her wings, and for the gift Stephanie shares. After dancing and exercising my entire life, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in July of 2006. After heavy-duty chemo and three intense surgeries I began dancing again slowly. Sue Centra (thanks, Sue) brought me to Centerpeace last fall and I am now stronger than I have ever been in my life! The mind body connection Stephanie practices allowed me to push myself in a safe environment with results beyond my expectations. I am so happy for Stephanie, Cindy and Centerpeace—and I can’t wait for the recipes!

I am so happy that Centerpeace was launched and continues to grow. This website offers not only an easy way to keep updated, but also another connection to the positive energy that Stephanie (and I guess her mom too) has brought to my life. A few years ago I was a regular in Stephanie’s classes and a total junkie for them (not a bad addiction). Unfortunately I can only visit Centerpeace occasionally now, but Stephanie’s inspiration in long lasting. I have learned so much from her: good form; commitment to living well, and the importance of reaching out to people with a smile or a word of encouragement. I wish Stephanie and Cindy the best of luck in this new adventure and I look forward to checking in both online and in person.

    Stephanie,
Love the blog, and I will continue to read and be inspired by you! You really are a true role model for us all! I aspire to have your “clean” lifestyle one day, and hope you will be there for me on this journey. I will need your help, support and of course your amazing class! No, really, I do love it, despite my scrunched up face.
